Overview
Forager Provisions is a UK-based Shopify retailer specialising in nature-inspired gifts, outdoor gear, and lifestyle accessories. With a curated product range and distinctive brand positioning, the site had a clear audience fit but lacked consistent visibility in search.
Fisher SEO was engaged to identify technical and content opportunities to improve discoverability and lay the groundwork for organic growth.
The Objective
The primary aim was to strengthen visibility across collection and product pages, many of which had limited or no organic reach. Other areas targeted included underdeveloped metadata, internal linking gaps, and a lack of search-optimised structure for long-tail queries.
Goals included:
- Broader search reach for specific products and categories
- Improved structure across collections and blogs
- Stronger alignment with user search behaviour
- SEO support tailored for Shopifyโs platform constraints
The Work
1. Content structure and metadata optimisation
- Meta titles and H1s across 10+ key collections were updated to add descriptive modifiers (e.g.ย Outdoor & Nature Style)
- Metadata was lengthened where short or missing (e.g.ย Bandanas, Cushions, Decorations, Stickers, Artwork)
- Internal links were added between related product pages and blog content, such as from theย Letโs Go for a Walk T-Shirt to other gifting categories
2. Search console observations and query emergence
- Several new queries began receiving impressions, such asย โPiggyโs Pizza Sprinklesโ, โSmokey the Bear Blanketโ, and โCamping Blanketโ
- The homepage and product URLs showed year-on-year growth in impressions. For example:
- Homepage: 1,132 impressions (up from 172), 17 clicks (up from 0)
Labo Mono Sling Bag: 915 impressions (up from 0), 14 clicks
Forager Picks Blog: 667 impressions, 9 clicks
Piggyโs Pizza Sprinkles: 407 impressions, 8 clicks
3. Ongoing tracking of organic traffic and conversions
- Google Analytics 4 was used to track ecommerce activity. In the 90-day period fromย 20 March to 17 June 2025, compared to the same period the year prior:
Organic traffic revenue: ยฃ2.6K (up 449.3%)
Organic total purchasers: 65 (up 333.3%)
Organic first-time purchasers: 64 (up 326.7%)
Average purchase revenue per organic user: ยฃ0.98 (up 214.0%)
These are platform-reported increases. No direct attribution to SEO work is implied, but the time period overlaps with the SEO rollout.

Total ecommerce revenue: ยฃ11K (up 378.7%)
Total purchasers: 286 (up 308.6%)
First-time purchasers: 282 (up 302.9%)
Top-selling items included:

Final Notes
This project focused on foundational SEO: metadata corrections, clearer internal links, and improved structural alignment with how users search. Performance data suggests increased reach and visibility across a number of key pages, and analytics shows that organic traffic represented a portion of a broader increase in ecommerce activity.
No conclusions are drawn about specific cause and effect, but the timing of improvements and the reporting period suggests an uplift in visibility and traffic during and after implementation.
