SEO Case Study: Growing Verve’s Organic Revenue on Shopify with Fisher SEO

Verve is a premium wellness brand founded by Oliver Cookson, focused on clean, effective supplements for sleep, immunity, energy and more. Built on trust, transparency and innovation, Verve needed its organic visibility to reflect the strength of its products. As a Shopify store, they also needed an SEO strategy tailored to the platform’s strengths and limitations.

Fisher SEO was brought in to turn organic traffic into a growth channel that would directly impact revenue and customer acquisition.

The Objective

Despite having high-quality products and a loyal customer base, Verve’s organic performance had room to grow. Blog content needed alignment with user search intent. Technical SEO across the Shopify site was inconsistent. Conversion-focused entry points were underused.

The Work

The SEO strategy was built around three priorities:

- Edited titles and descriptions to include relevant keywords while maintaining clarity and tone. One example was reworking the sleep collection’s metadata for stronger click appeal.

- Refined internal linking structure across collections, blogs and product pages. We added contextual links such as from the V80 Greens Powder page to Ashwagandha Capsules, helping search engines and users discover related products.

- Updated blog content for clarity, search intent and conversion. For instance, the insomnia blog was edited to explain how blue light and diet affect melatonin, not just promote natural remedies.

2. Technical SEO improvements on Shopify

- Added descriptive alt text to all key product images. This improved image indexing and accessibility, particularly important on Shopify where image SEO often gets overlooked.

- Fixed broken internal links to reduce crawl errors and maintain link equity across the domain.

3. User-focused keyword alignment

 - Pages were optimised around high-intent search terms like “premium sleep supplements” and “greens powder benefits”. We made sure each page delivered value first, not fluff.

The Results

Over 12 months (June 2024 to June 2025), Verve saw measurable results from organic traffic alone:

Organic revenue reached £54K, an increase of 11.6% year on year

Total organic purchasers rose to 637, up 14.2%

First-time organic buyers increased by 13%

New users from organic search grew by 55.5%

Returning organic users rose by 24.2%

Performance on Google Search improved significantly:

Clicks (last 3 months): 19.5K, up from 12.4K the previous year

Impressions: 1.51 million, more than triple the previous 435K

Average ranking position improved from 20.7 to 19.1

While click-through rate dropped slightly, the sheer growth in reach, visibility and conversions shows the impact of consistent, focused SEO work.
